help you get back on track.


Household Relief is a free, friendly, confidential service available for Australian households
financially impacted, in any way, since 1 February 2020 due to Covid-19.

    Have you or your partner’s income reduced
        (due to job loss, reduced hours, lockdown
        restrictions, awaiting test results, contact            tracing or illness)?

    Have you incurred additional expenses due          to Covid-19?

    Has your ex-partner’s reduced income
        impacted your household?

We can help you with financial support to get back on track.


You are eligible for Household Relief assistance if your household has been
financially impacted in any way due to Covid-19 since 1st February 2020 and you:

    Are 16 years or over

    Are an Australian citizen, permanent                      resident, or hold a valid visa that
        expires after the loan term.

    Have a before tax annual income of
        less than $60,000 if you are single, or
        less than $100,000 for couples or if
        you have dependents.

‘Financially impacted by Covid-19’ may be due to job loss, reduced hours, transitioning to Centrelink
(even if temporarily), inability to work or lost income due to lockdown restrictions, awaiting Covid test
results, contact tracing or Covid illness, incurring extra expenses due to Covid, or for example losing
household income due to your ex-partner s child support payments reducing.

financial hardship arrangements, and referrals to
our free in-house Financial Counsellors and other
services if you re in crisis.

Household Relief

No Interest Loans

If you or your partner are able to show you can repay an affordable loan.

We can help you find out about and apply for a Household Relief No Interest Loan of up to $3,000 to get back on your feet – and will talk you through the other supports and services you may be eligible for.


If you or your partner are able to service affordable repayments,
A Household Relief No Interest Loan can assist you with:

    Utility bills

    Bond or rent (via agent*)

    Council rates

    Body corporate fees

Funded by the Australian Government, this no interest loan of up to $3,000 means
you only pay back what you borrow, with repayments up to 24 months. It s worth
considering this safe credit option before resorting to a payday loan or other
expensive form of credit.

If you are back at work and able to support affordable repayments, a
Household Relief Loan Without Interest could help you get back on track.
